Le Martyre de Saint Sébastien is a work that is not encountered very often on the concert stage, or at present on CD. The performance in 1967 under direction of Pierre Boulez was for many a first encounter with this work and received acclaimed critic in the international press. This performance of Béla Bartók - Bluebeard’s Castle is highly in demand by connoisseurs. The soloists and conductor manage to create the right suspension en mysticism, which makes it a breathtaking experience.
